We invite You to share a memorable week with us making tours and short walks around food, culture, music, past and present. You´ll experience eudemonia, the Cretan way of good life, by creating joyful moments for yourself and others.

You will be staying in the heart of an old country village, in traditional houses renovated with love and good taste. You´ll take part in country life and cook with us under the guidance of our hosts, family members of Frantzeskakis, who teach us to pick wild greens and guide us to fetch raw materials from the local producers. We´ll see Nikos drenching the salad with plentiful of olive oil from their own groves and dance when he is happy.

In Crete the basis of a good life is found around the table. Plants and herbs are seen as food, but also as skin-care products and remedies, as in the times of Hippocrates. Food is prepared consciously to nourish body and soul. It is cooked in relaxed way with patience and time in cozy outdoor summer kitchens enjoying the beautiful spring time nature.

As a professional it is an opportunity for you to gain new refreshing ideas and perspectives. We do not expect you to be a food industry professional or have any previous knowledge on the subject. It is enough that you have the will to participate.

The program will be renewed according to the season. In spring-time we will pick snails and wild greens and herbs and take part in the Easter celebrations. In the summer we will have a pick-nick on the beach, prepare fresh pasta and on August and on September we will pick grapes and make wine. On October we will distil raki and pick up table olives. We are also going to take part in the local celebrations whenever there is something going on.

We can receive only 6-14 participants. They will be staying in old and new renovated traditional houses in the village of Vamos. The old renovated houses are located in the old part of the village, in the vicinity of Fabrika and the taverna. The new accommodation premises are in the upper part of the village in the middle of an olive grove, about 800 m from the taverna.
